Introducing Leigh Hatcher

Meet Leigh Hatcher, the new host of Open House.

Leigh, a veteran journalist and broadcaster, has enjoyed an extensive career in radio and television and has for the past 10 years worked as a presenter at Sky News Australia.

In this short video, he shares a little about his life, family, and career in broadcasting. You'll get to see some some fascinating early footage from his days as a radio and TV news reporter, and hear him share his heart and vision for the future of the Open House program.

On his new appointment Leigh says, "Alhough most of my career has been in television, radio has always been my first love - and so much of my life, faith and work for nearly four decades will culminate in this amazing opportunity to host Open House."

Listeners can look forward to more of the indepth, heart-warming interviews and stories they have come to know and love, as well as some new elements too - such as "The Human Condition" segment with psychologist Lyn Worsley, a series with renowned Christian apologist John Dickson, and stories of hope from everyday people, in "The Good News" segment.

He replaces the founding host Sheridan Voysey, who is heading to the UK with his wife for some new career adventures.
